Holme Lacy Farm Walk
Dan Seaborne
Join us for the fifth of our Farm Walk series this season
Each month we invite our community, partners and end-users to come and meet us and each other.
We are trying to build the sense of "community" amongst our members to foster sharing, learning and relationships.
It's the ideal setting to get together and discuss ideas on farming and agronomy, and to see some of the fantastic farms our members run and are rightly proud of.
Hosted by Dan Seaborne at Hereford and Ludlow College, Holme Lacy Campus, and linking up with the Oper8 project, the main theme of the event will be mixed systems for weed control and soil fertility
Topics for discussion will include;
Rotations for weed control and soil fertility
Weed control strategies
Potato agronomy
Oat grain quality
Bi-crops
Pedigree Hereford Cattle
We will also have a chance to look at the LiveWheat Legacy winter wheat trial, and a LiveOat comparison of Winter oats Mascani and Cromwell and anything else attendees are interested in looking at on the farm. There will also be a spring bean variety plot trial to look at as part of the LiveSeeding project.
