Young Organic Farmer/Grower of the Year Award (YOFGY 2024) recognizes exceptional individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to organic farming principles. Whether at a micro or broader level, these forward-thinking farmers and growers embody innovation, leadership, and dedication to organic practices.

Here are the key details for the award:

1. Eligibility:

   • Applicants must be under 40 years old as of November 30, 2023.
   • The nominee should be actively producing or working according to the four IFOAM organic principles: Health, Ecology, Fairness, and Care.

2. Application Process:

   • Applications can be submitted by individuals or teams of 2 or 3 people.
   • Nominations are also accepted from anyone who wishes to nominate a deserving individual or team.
   • The application deadline has been extended to May 10, 2024.
   • Applicants must provide a brief curriculum vitae, describe their commitment to organic principles, and outline their current organic farming or market garden project.

3. Award Details:

   • The winner will receive a prestigious recognition and a donated cash prize of £1,500 from the Organic Research Centre (ORC).
