Organic Arable Grain Club

I love baking fresh bread for my family, it’s far tastier, much healthier without all the so-called ‘improvers’ in massed produced loaves, and this way I can ensure we eat British Organic flour.   If you like to bake bread on a regular basis, you know that fresher flour = better tasting bread. This is why I am so excited that we are now able to offer our Grain Club! Our Grain Club members will receive monthly deliveries of Certified British Organic Grain, for you to mill for the freshest flour possible for bread baking.   These will arrive with full traceability, profile of the farmers that produced them, and details on the grain.  We will only  sell you 100% British grains.  Why?  We believe in supporting our farmers and the environment, our grains don’t come from faceless ‘mega-farms’. We buy directly from our member farmers and then bag and send their grain on to you.  When you mill your grain, you can have peace of mind from knowing exactly where it came from and who grew it.  It may be a farmer local to you! Do you like to bake a bit or bake a lot? We all have different needs so we wanted to be sure you have an option. 4.5 Kg of grain per month or 9.0 Kg of grain per month What will you receive?

  • 1.5 or 3.0 Kg Organic Wheat  – This will be of a single variety and will change month to month.  Ok I know you are asking, why different varieties?  Wheat is wheat, right?   Actually, no.  Wheat isn’t just wheat.  Different varieties have different protein levels and other characteristics.  You may find you like one over another or a special Baker’s Blend that you create for yourself.
  • 1.5 or 3.0 Kg Organic Grain of a second type of breadmaking grain such as a second type of wheat, spelt or rye
  • 1.5 or 3.0 Organic Grain of a third type
  • Information on Organic Arable and the farm where your grain was grown.
  • Notes and tips on each variety of grain:  Every Organic Grain we send you, we mill (see note below) and bake with beforehand.   We won’t send you something we would not personally use and be happy to serve to our family and friends.
  • Recipes:  You probably have favourites you use already, but you may want to try something a little different.
  • When you receive your grain, don’t be fooled by the plain packaging.   As part of our effort to be carbon neutral we have opted for boxes, bags, and labels that are 100% compostable.  We don’t think you should be paying for a marketing package, just top quality grain.

Ok so now that you know a bit more about the club… Let’s go for it!
